The Magic of Christmas

Happy Friday, everyone! It's Karen with you today. We're celebrating the spirit of Christmas on the blog this week and I was inspired by the magic that surrounds this beautiful season. ♥︎
Maja Design's Vintage Frost Basics create my Sugar Plum Fairy and her winter wonderland, which is paired with Purple I from Pion Design's Palette collection.
Wild Orchid Crafts flowers are sprinkled with Glamour Dust for Christmas sparkle, including the beautiful Lilac roses that coordinate so sweetly with the Vintage Frost designs.
A capped teardrop vintage pearl pin is nestled within the larger bouquet, while a pearl-adorned snowflake charm dangles from the tiny arrangement. A tiny shabby jingle bell jingles from the top of her wings.
Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a magical weekend. ♥︎

Hugs and blessings,
Karen

    1. Hi Zeynep,
Thank you very much for your comment. Sorry it's taken me a few days to get back to you. I've been very busy, and I wanted to make sure I had the time to write you a comprehensive reply. The work you see on the blog here are by seven different crafters, all of which have their own unique style. These are skills they have developed during many years of scrapping & cardmaking. I totally understand where you are coming from; the design team member's cards and projects may look complex and somewhat daunting, though I promise you that for the most part they are not, it's just a matter of how they are working with the materials, and building their card/projects with layers. The reason we include the Inlinkz collection at the end of the post with the small thumbnails with links to the products is to help our blog readers identify which products have been used for the particular project or card. Having said that; although most of the products used are from the LLC store, the design team members of course have their own stash with for example dies, chipboards, tools and stamps that are not available from the LLC store, but they nonetheless are using when creating. It would be difficult for the design team members to do tutorials on what in their opinion is just one of their “regular cards” if you know what I mean. To them, creating has become 2nd nature and it would probably be difficult to put their personal creative process into words. However; maybe it would help to gain an understanding on how they are thinking when they go about creating something. I’ll have a word with them and I’ll ask them if they can share some insights into their creative process. Hopefully we can do this as a theme week sometime next year. Many thanks for your feedback; I'm happy to hear you are enjoying reading the LLC blog.
